On a computer, the benefit is in case the screen light is bothering someone else who is trying to sleep, the redness will make it not bother some to them, and will also allow a more specific adjustment of how to make the screen look best if all the lights are off OR if the light is on but has a yellowish rather then white tinge. If you sleep according to when you're tired rather then "trying" to sleep at a specific time, then no, it does not help you sleep better at all! Of course not! However, it may make you sleep-level tired sooner IF you are already tired when you turn it, but what it really does for a benefit is if your phone's minimum setting is too bright when the lights are off (I've tried EasyEyes but not Twilight, and on EasyEyes I'd use the dinner but not the redness because the redness makes it hard to read when dim as well as makes the colors funny).
